Mr. Banovich, I recently viewed your exhibition at the Museum of the Southwest in Midland, Tx. and I just have to say congratulations on a wonderful career. I have seen hundreds of art shows over the years including Gerhardt Richter at the MOMA NYC and I think your show just jumped to the top of the list. I was profoundly moved the moment I walked in the room. It was as if I was invited in to each work through the eyes of your soul. Not only was I amazed at your skill as an artist, your ability to communicate through your art was unmatched. Your images drew me in like Rockwell of the Wild. Something else happened from the moment I walked in that I had never experienced before. I had an immediate sense of who the artist was as a person, eagerly welcoming me in to share his insight. I could not tell if this was an artist who was a conservationist or a conservationist who was an artist. It did not matter because excellence, focus, dedication, sacrifice and purity of intention were what mattered. Whoever this artist was, was so blessed to know oneself fully and have the wisdom to follow their dreams and inspirations passionately. As an artist myself, trying to make my way in the art world for 20 years, I could not tell if I was so humbled as to lay down my brushes and move on with life, or so inspired as to keep forging ahead with a glimpse into what it means to achieve excellence. Sincerely, John DeFrance | ||||||
